Spanish esports organization Movistar Riders has made changes to the starting lineup. After a string of bad results shokz left the team, while steel was sent to the bench. Note that these are the first changes in the team's lineup since the beginning of the season, when smooya joined Movistar Riders.

These changes come after a very busy season that ended with the qualification for the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown following playoff victories over SAW and OFFSET in the regional qualifier.

The European team initially kicked off in 2021 with a resounding signing by smooya, with which it reached an all-time high in the team rankings during its honeymoon, moving up to 22nd place. However, after a rapid ascent, the team fell sharply to an annual low and 66th place in early July.

The drop in the ranking occurred after the last place in the ESL National Championship Global Playoffs Spring, 7-8th place at REPUBLEAGUE TIPOS Season 1 and 11-12th place in ESEA Premier Season 37 Europe, where the team barely left the top division, beating SAW.

Movistar Riders are now challenged to find new players, including the captain that steel has been for a long time.

From now on, the roster of Movistar Riders is as follows:

  • mopoz.
  • alex.
  • smooya.
  • bladE (trainer).
  • steel (bench).
