birdfromsky leaves ECSTATIC
The Danish esports organization ECSTATIC has announced changes to its CS:GO roster, parting ways with its permanent leader and captain birdfromsky. If rumors are to be believed, the 28-year-old Dane will be part of the new Copenhagen Flames line-up we mentioned a few days ago.
birdfromsky is no longer part of ECSTATIC. This means that he is looking for a new home to represent. He has been part of our organization for almost 4 years, the longest of any player representing us.
birdfromsky joined the Lyngby Vikings organization, which later became known as ESCTATIC, back in August 2018. During this time, the 28-year-old Danish captain led the team to victories at Esportal Global 2019: Nordic Finals, Fragleague Season 4, Funspark ULTI 2021: Europe Season 3, Malta Vibes Knockout Series #3 and Pinnacle Fall Series #3.
Thomas has made an incredible journey with our team, taking us from zero to 16th in the world. Besides, he's just a nice guy who's easy to talk to. He has incredible leadership and communication skills, always pushing every player on the team to give their best. He is a great guy and we wish him the best of luck on his journey,” said Thomas Sinding, CEO of ECSTATIC.
In addition, under his leadership, the team reached the finals at Esportal Global 2019, Pinnacle Fall Series #2, Malta Vibes Knockout Series #4 and Thunderpick Bitcoin Series 2022.
I've been playing for the same organization for 3-4 years now and I felt like I needed to try something completely new, fresh and exciting, although it's been an incredible journey. Especially the fact that we managed to take 16th place in the HLTV rankings out of nowhere will be something I will always remember. I would like to thank you for the many years of service to the organization and especially to all my teammates, birdfromsky said.
According to rumors, birdfromsky's next career spot will be the Copenhagen Flames, who are preparing to introduce their new roster, which will also include b0RUP, TMB, raalz and regali. Recall that after the end of the major, the Danish organization decided to close the project in order to profitably sell its assets at the peak.
Now ESCTATIC is faced with the difficult task of finding a new captain. The next championship for the team will be ESL Challenger League Season 42: Europe. At the same time, the team will be involved in the qualifiers for the European RMR tournament.
From now on, the ECSTATIC CS:GO roster is as follows:
- maNkz
- Daffu
- FASHR
- XELLOW (stand-in)
