Copenhagen Flames puts remaining squad up for transfer
The Danish esports organization Copenhagen Flames is officially putting the remaining CS:GO roster up for transfer. Following the sale of nicoodoz and roeJ to fnatic, the organization is looking to release its assets to more established clubs that will provide players with full support and provide the necessary resources for further growth.
A new chapter begins. A stage of perestroika that we have been preparing for a long time, but our starting point is very different from where we were before, and now we are much stronger. Our recent success has attracted partners, attracted more media attention, increased our fan base and strengthened our economy.
While we know that we are still far behind our competitors on a budget, we have no doubt that we are among the best in the world in terms of building successful squads and developing players capable of competing at the highest level.
Flames 2.0 is no more, nicoodoz and roeJ are moving to fnatic with our huge thanks and best wishes. We will also be looking for new homes for HooXi, jabbi and Zyphon. All of these players have proven that they belong to the top echelon of Counter-Strike and we will do everything in our power to ensure that they are treated as such wherever they go.
The current line-up of Copenhagen Flames was formed in May last year. During the season, the Danish team achieved great success, winning BLAST Rising 2021, Malta Vibes Knockout Series #4 and PGL Major Antwerp 2022: European RMR B. However, the team’s greatest achievements relate to larger championships, as the roster took 9-11th place in the PGL Major Stockholm 2021, and also reached the quarterfinals of the recent PGL Major Antwerp 2022.
Our next goal is to maintain our current level of play and results. Our next roster will be full of potential, and while we know that the path back to the Major and Elite teams will not be easy, we have high hopes and say with great confidence that this is our main goal. We have plans to work even more closely with our partners, using their resources in both data and science to achieve this goal.
The organization has assured that it has no plans to leave the stage and will return to the game with a new line-up.
The latest Copenhagen Flames line-up is as follows:
- Jabby.
- nicoodoz.
- roeJ.
- HooXi.
- Zyphon.
- vorborg (coach).
